About Us
Jack Rowlett, Jr. was a beacon of kindness and consistency who spent the better part of his life giving back to his community, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and laughter that continues to inspire those who knew him. Always wearing the grandest of smiles and one of his many Hawaiian shirts, Jack was our brightest ray of sunshine. His extraordinary adaptability and unrelenting enthusiasm found him quite literally a jack-of-all-trades. With an undeviating eagerness to learn and grow, even in his final months, Jack learned how to make flower pots, ultimately leaving his family with several stunning relics in which they have begun to grow new life.
The JOAR Memorial Foundation is our attempt to share with the world Jack’s spiritual archetype. It is our mission to foster environmental education and stewardship through school and community grants in an effort to share one of Jack’s greatest and most important passions with the world.
